BiffSplitkins Posted August 7, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 7, 2013 Margaret Pellegrini, who played a Munchkin in the 1939 film "The Wizard of Oz" and who took part in Chittenango's Oz-Stravaganza festival the past 20 years, died today in Arizona. She was 89. Pellgrini, who played the "Flower Pot" Munchkin, was among the youngest of the 124 actors who played Munchkins, acting in the movie when she was just 15. She was among a handful of cast members still alive. Two other Munchkins are still living; however they don't travel, said Colleen Zimmer, co-director of the Oz festival.
