Still Waters Posted August 23, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2013 A way of building body parts similar to the way a spider spins its web has been demonstrated by researchers in the UK. The team at University College London used a constant stream of cells mixed with a polymer to weave the new tissues. They think the technique could produce better results than other ways of building body parts for transplant. http://www.bbc.co.uk...health-23793787
brlesq1 Posted August 26, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 26, 2013 Interesting. I didn't know about building from a platform, either. I notice that they've only experimented on mice. Hopefully, it'll work in human trials, too.
