CatFromHell Posted September 6, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2013 I recently went on holiday with my other half. We rented a house for the week and it seemed fine. On the last day, My boyfriend left the house to go down to the seafront to make a phone call (there was no signal in the house) and when he came back he looked a bit shaken up. I asked him what was wrong and he said he'd just been standing there on the phone, there was not anyone around and he felt something gripping his waist tightly. I laughed it off but a few minutes later i was in the kitchen making a drink when i swear i heard a female voice whisper right in my ear "you're going to die". Do you think I could have imagined this having just heard what heard to my boyfriend? I have looked on the internet since to see if i can find anything about the village we stayed and found out there were witch trials in the 1700's, wonder if that has anything to do with it? http://www.bbc.co.uk...andfife&stage=4

teanpa Posted September 6, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 6, 2013 I just.. well, I don't know. I've heard voices in my head before. I heard a voice in my ear once upon waking up. It IS creepy. But the human brain is.. it is mysterious. I almost want to compare it to an illusion. Do you feel anything at the time? Anything lingering around you? CatFromHell Posted September 7, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted September 7, 2013 (edited) It sounds daft but it happened so fast I don't know what I felt and i quickly put it down to my imagination more for my peace of mind than anything as I still had another night there! Avallaine Posted September 14, 2013 #19 Share Posted September 14, 2013 (edited) Haz I been spammed? Yes, I rather think you have. A simulation of a psychotic episode of a patient with Schizophrenia. Although off-topic, that was very interesting. Perhaps it could be split off into its own thread? People are awfully free with with advice about "you're just hearing things" or "you should get a psych evaluation" around here. Having a reference thread for actual auditory hallucinations and what they're like might be useful.
