Brian Topp Posted September 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2013 A suburban school district is building a 5K race next month around one of the Chicago area's most well-known ghost stories: Resurrection Mary. Legend has it that a young blonde in a white party dress was killed on Archer Avenue in the 1930s by a hit-and-run driver. Since then, her ghost allegedly has been spotted hitchhiking on the busy street. When she reaches Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, she vanishes, or so the story goes. http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2013-09-09/news/ct-talk-resurrection-mary-5k-20130910_1_5k-race-ghost-story-resurrection-mary

HeathenRoyalty Posted September 16, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 16, 2013 Although, you have to admit, it would be pretty funny to watch these kids come hauling as through this place if some lady decided to dress up as Resurrection Mary.
