Zimbabwe elephants poisoned by cyanide

More than 80 elephants have been killed for their ivory by poachers who used cyanide to poison a water hole in Zimbabwe's largest game park.

Tourism Minister Walter Mzembi confirmed the toll on Tuesday after touring Hwange National Park.

Wildlife department officials said the chemical also killed smaller animals and predators which feed on them

I hate poachers so much. Those elephants did not deserve such an atrocity. The only reasonable punishment for these poachers would be dropping them off next to a juvenile bull and letting it chase them down a trample then. Or cut their noses off, sorry im getting twisted here lol.

Hwange is where I saw my first wild elephants in 2001. Magnificent, intelligent creatures.
