Wow, you have a very low dazzle threshold, don't you?

This is just like watching a string of snot dipping from someones nose; you watch grossed out and fascinated at the same time, wondering just how far it will stretch before it finally breaks. This old quacks shot sure can stretch.

She just keeps coming back like a wicked bad case of herpes.

Is anyone around here still buying what she's selling?

Lol. And yes, there are people who would give it a passing glance and believe it.

But anyone who reads into it at all hopefully does not believe it.

Shoot, you prove Bigfoot is real and people will probably try and kill you to keep it out of the public domain because too many people will loose a livelihood.

Matt Moneymaker will have to return to the law, which he claims to hate, but being a lawyer that means he isn't really qualified to do anything else.

Damn good point there K.

I'll never look at her the same again :w00t:

Just one question - who knows what 'bigfoot' DNA looks like?

Bigfoot DNA looks like normal DNA except it's....blurry...

This 'study' is a prime example of why peer review is so imperative to science, yes, even the fringe. To be honest though I'm surprised that Ketchum had the guts to actually submit her data for review to begin with.

I think the following sums up the study quite succinctly.

The presentation of the thesis is overburdened in three ways: a) the considerable inclusion of unsubstantiated eyewitness accounts and folkloric/pop-cultural ideations and their presentation as foundational facts that validate the analytical data; B) the presentation of a series of anomalous results generated using routine methodologies resulting in a sub-narrative that is curious and interesting, but unnecessary given the fact that cutting edge technology has been employed to generate sequence data sets that should allow for incredibly detailed analyses yet lead to relatively unambiguous conclusions; and c) the results from Next Generation Sequencing methodologies, especially related to the analysis of the nuclear genome are fairly superficially treated so as to be unclear whether the authors have selectively aggregated sequences to support a favorable placement among primates.

Ugggh! Can't we just leave the science out?

Sure we can.

See; "Novel North American Hominins, Next Generation Sequencing of Three Whole Genomes and Associated Studies" for an example keeping science out of bigfootery.

She is one of their habituated bigfoot.

Maybe they know her SOOOOO well that they just want to keep her out of Hollywood. Because you know what Hollywood will do to a bigfoot... First there's documentorys and then bad, low quality movies, and then it slides into less savory videos once the shine wears off. I don't want that for anyone, even bigfoot.

Folks, we Americans are not buying this story/research anymore than you all are. The videos do not offer any more proof of this animals existence than the original 1967 Patterson film ( which for the record I think is real) and Miss Ketchum's DNA finding have been debunked by many scientists. The one video that bothers me the most is one of the supposed sleeping Bigfoot. How come the person filming it, didn't stick around and wait for it to wake up and get better video, or maybe grap a big ole stick and wack it behind the head and now they got a live specimen!

absolutely

with everything that you said, don't you find it very curious that even the most diehard K-bashers still dignify her in here by commenting. Morbid, no?

ya know.... I think that documentary *will* be a popular one

Apparently, “there are two races which use the second-density form. One is the entities from the planetary sphere you call “Maldek”. These entities are working their understanding complexes through a series of what you would call “karmic restitutions”. They dwell within your deeper underground passageways and are known to you as “Bigfoot” - The Law of One;

http://www.focusonre...th/Bigfoot.html

from the site...

Q: You and the ancient literature say that these sons of god intermarried with human women, is that correct?

A: Yes.

Q: Did they do that the same way it is done today, that is, sexual interaction?

A: No.

Q: How was it done?

A: Forced insemination.

Q: So, it was artificial insemination?

A: Close.

Q: Were these beings like us, including their sexual apparatus?

A: Close.

Q: Any significant differences?

A: Three gonads.

Q: Was their sexual apparatus otherwise similar?

A: Yes.

Q: Did they mate with human females in a normal way at any time?

A: No.

Q: Why not?

A: Size difference.

Q: Just for the sake of curiosity, just how different in terms of size?

A: 23 inches long. ^_^

Why would a bigfoot be half human and half ape? We diverged from apes millions of years ago and evolved in isolation since then. It sounds impressive, but if bigfoot was even possible it would have to have traces of other past hominids- denisovans, neanderthals, something. Not 'ape'. And why human DNA? They make it seem like a modern human and some ape species had babies, and that doesn't work. We can only breed with things that have similar descendents- the neanderthals and us both came from homo erectus. Whenever I hear the 'half-human, half-ape' I immediately dismiss the claim, because even if bigfoot existed that's not what he would be.

Melba doesn't worry herself over such details. :P

Why does everyone hate this Melba woman? What did she do?

I don't hate her at all.......I think she's animal crackers and believes wholeheartedly that her "work" is above question or reproach. However, she also believes she's had sex with Bigfoots on a number of occasions.......and somehow didn't manage to get a DNA sample of the event. All I can say is back when the wife and I were together all she had to do was stand up and take a couple steps after such an event and she could have provided ample samples. Just saying.

Personally, I'm not sure of her motivations here, if it's to make money then how when no one in the DNA field will give her the time of day now. Yeah, she got the paper published......she had to by the printer and publish it herself but by God it's published. So in your face stupid peer review persons!

The thing that upsets me about the whole thing with Melba is the same reason I have little but contempt for Slick Rick Dyer. These people have caused much of anything that comes forward to be tossed out the window without serious review or consideration because these numbskulls are working their mischief for whatever reason.

Not in so many words, according to her she said they were gentle creatures and when she was around them she'd "sort of pass out", then when she woke up she said she was "sore".
