Big Bad Voodoo Posted October 4, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2013 http://www.salon.com/2013/10/02/nsa_director_admits_to_misleading_public_on_terror_plots/ “There is no evidence that [bulk] phone records collection helped to thwart dozens or even several terrorist plots,” said Leahy. The Vermont Democrat then asked the NSA chief to admit that only 13 out of a previously cited 54 cases of foiled plots were genuinely the fruits of the government’s vast dragnet surveillance systems: “These weren’t all plots, and they weren’t all foiled,” Leahy said, asking Alexander, “Would you agree with that, yes or no?” “Yes,” replied Alexander. Raptor Witness Posted October 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2013 The NSA has committed constitutional treason, and they should be forced to account for the billions of tax payer dollars they are wasting, chasing empty threats and shadows. The Republicans want to defund the Affordable Health Care Act, yet they continue to fund the NSA's haystack of private communications. By interfering with spiritual privacy through intimidation and coercion, they have committed treason against Big Daddy. Thieves of our prayers, now lengthen the day and the night to account for the missing adoration, which they have taken from You.

Raptor Witness Posted October 6, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2013 i'm not aware of any dems, that don't support NSA funding. I'm pointing out the obvious hypocrisy of spending billions to spy on everybody on earth, while not caring about the health and welfare of the people they're supposed to be protecting. What kills more citizens in the United States, a handful of terrorists that show up once in a blue moon, or the incalculable numbers of sick Americans who are dying of diseases that could be treated, but who are too afraid to get help, or can't get it, because they can't afford insurance? Anyone can do the math, and weigh the risk vs the cost. They must enjoy playing 007 at a cost of billions, year after year, wasting precious resources on a handful of enemies, while all along it is really they who are the enemy. This kind of darkness won't come to an end easily, because it hides in plain sight.
Skep B Posted October 6, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 6, 2013 darkness? thats a bit simplistic it seems. they've always watched. its just more encompassing now, because information is more easily transferred. If they weren't watching, and listening. they wouldn't be doing their job. people will always get sick and die, disease is part of life. people can be stopped, and they should try to stop the ones that need to be. Its a relatively new part of the government, give it time, it will become more efficient Ideas like liberty for everyone everywhere and land of the free, and government transparency, it's all nice thoughts. But, sometimes you have to do things that are unseemly
