Still Waters Posted October 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2013 A retired joiner has said he hopes to change the way people see the humble nail after spending the last 50 years collecting more than 3,000 of them. Richard Jones, 78, has amassed his hoard of thousands of nails from across the globe - and has now declared: 'I'm not the world's most boring man'. He described his collection, which features nails from as far as Australia, Germany, Italy and the United States, as 'fascinating'. http://www.dailymail...-gathering.html

Oniomancer Posted October 6, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2013 Interesting collection. He's got kind of a loose definition of nail though. I see several rafter hooks, what looks like a hinge pintle and the fancy brass-headed things I think are curtain tiebacks.

Ealdwita Posted October 6, 2013 #6 Share Posted October 6, 2013 3,000 of them? I bet that gave his bank balance a hammering! Sorry.
