Haha and I dont blame you!! But I do think my animation may have been a similar technique... or a lantern taking off and the film simply reversed.... anything but a ufo landing in TOWN, where only one person saw it... amazingly

And before anyone says the film cant be reversed coz the cars move forward, Im sure video editing packages allow for split screen editing.

I think it's more bizarre that people immediately try to reason with the usual Chinese lantern, and flare. This is northern Iceland. It's very isolated up there. Flares; I assume people mean like the ones fired from ships at sea, are highly uncommon by random occurrence in any small town.

It's amazing that wherever there is something weird, people's conclusions about what that weirdness is, can be even more bizarre than the thing itself. How many billions of Chinese lanterns do people set off every day globally anyway? especially those ones that defy physics, gravity and air currents..

I agree with Lumpy: UFO is unidentified flying object, doesn't mean Aliens; there is some highly advanced tech being made right here on earth, that the general public would have no idea about, for all intensive purposes these look like alien ships. Some may be, but some are human in origin..

The light does seem to 'pulsate' as if it were on fire or something similar. I don't know how easily that effect can be done in any video manipulation software though...

Doubtless you are right... it is probably a CGI. Or, perhaps a balloon and LED. But it is not a chinese lantern or helicopter or a flare. I agree with that.

It certainly could have been reversed. There is lots of angles and straight lines in that view where a splice could have been made.

It is about the same as what I proposed for that "smoking ship" video with flares hovering above the ship.

And some of them are using computers to edit video and put it on youtube. Or, possibly to put an LED into a balloon and send it out into the evening sky.

it's obvious, innit? I mean, curiosity is what brought humanity forward until this day. So , if you witness something like that, why not grab your camera, an umbrella (or whatever they use for self defending precaution in iceland) and GET THE **** OUT to the place where it came down!

I am curious as to why you rule a parachute flare out? It looks just like one to me. My ex military- now helicopter pilot friend who is very familiar with flares agrees and tells me that it is obviously a parachute flare no question about it.

Mostly I was just being snarky to the other poster. But the lack of smoke is one reason. He was trying to imply it was ET in origin, but I agreed with his post to suggest it was CGI. It seems to be about 500 to 700 meters away to me. Which probably means it is not a normal sized aircraft of any kind.

exactly. Id also looked for something to compare size, IMO it looked to about as big as a one of the buildings windows, and certainly about half size of the cars. bearing in mind the glow wouldn't be its actual size, itd be smaller than its glow, so yeh, a smallish object for sure

Yeah it could be a parachute flare. It's not a video in reverse though as at the bottom of the video, you can see people walking around.........unless they are walking backwards down the street?

I think it was a small craft carrying a little boy who in 18 years will appear in our skies and on our tv wearing a red and blue suit.

I almost burnt my town down playing with a parachute flare. Bloody wind, bloody dry bushes and bloody stupid! Not to mention bloody lucky putting it out in sandles without getting burnt.
