This is the 'usually worn' set. Occasionally, a medal or decoration specific to a certain country will be additionally worn when HRH is visiting that country.

Most women prefer a paltry little cluster on their men, rather than ostentatious display that so heavy he can barely stand up ;)

Imagine if he forgot to wear one of these one day .... there could be an international incident based on England snubbing Africa or Greece for instance. :P

Poor guy probably doesn't dare leave any of them off, spare a thought for his frail old bones.

Slighty off topic but still about war medals. It is satisfying to see that more and more children are appearing at the Cenotaph parade wearing the medals of their now departed grandfathers and great grandfathers. It would be interesting and perhaps emotional to see in 2018 a large contingent of the young descendents wearing the medals of their forefathers from WWI.
