Well, as with all apocalyptic dates, we here in Oz (and New Zealand, Eastern Siberia, Japan..) will all be enjoying *our* apocalypse much earlier, while youse guys just watch jealously...

As I post this, we are just 2 days and 6.5 hours away. I'm just so excited!

On a serious note I propose we celebrate Ragnarok on the 3rd Saturday of every February. We can listen to Manowar while drinking mead and winter ale, send out cards with norse runes spelling out 'Merry Ragnarok', thumbwrestle for the right of holding the sacred TV remote, etc..

Although... is this maybe like Christmas? Perhaps I should leave out some schooners of ale and some roast pig/goat, and then instead of bringing down a thunderstorm of vengeance and destruction, they will stop and have a huge wild party instead and leave me a big pile of presents..?
