I can understand the connection that must develop and it would be a sad day for sure. But also a happy one that it was able to survive, fly off on its own and continue the cycle. Mom must have done a good job!  There amazing birds. There are a few nests close to where I live but no cameras anymore. One nest was monitored for years.
