Still Waters Posted November 22, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2013 A 7th Century board game piece, the first discovery of its kind for 130 years, has been unearthed in Kent by University of Reading archaeologists. Researchers believe the hollow bone cylinder found at the Lyminge dig belongs to an early backgammon or draughts-type games set. You know I have always wondered about this medieval and/or victorian from the uk, game called, I might get the spelling wrong, Sharpharpony Sharparpony I think it was played with coins. Can someone maybe enlighten me about it. I've Googled, but I think I spell it incorrectly so nothing comes up.
