CatFromHell Posted November 24, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 24, 2013 Neuroscientist James Fallon knows what a psychopathic brain scan looks like, because he's studied the differences in brain activity between normal brains and those of people with various anomalies and impairments. While studying scans of his own family members in a study of Alzheimer's disease, he recognized one that had all the hallmarks of a psychopath. http://blogs.smithsonianmag.com/science/2013/11/the-neuroscientist-who-discovered-he-was-a-psychopath/
freetoroam Posted November 24, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 24, 2013 Oh dear, thats quite frightening, but most certainly does not mean he will be the next Henry Lee Lucas or Jeffrey Dalmer. They had far more other problems which brought out the "deviant" lying within.

I wonder if he's going to check his kids, who are probably home alone due to his workaholic compuctions? He said Love saved him, but then what of his kids and grandkids? Did he love them enough or are they going to be violent?
freetoroam Posted November 24, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 24, 2013 He knows himself better than most of us know ourselves I imagine. It may not necessarily mean the worse: Serial killers are always psychopathic, but not all psychopaths are serial killers. However, all psychopaths have many common traits. These traits involve family history, or genetics, as well as environment and experience. Most of the research can show that there is no one cause for violent behavior. Although serial killers and other psychopaths may have brain abnormalities or dysfunctions, personal experience and environment also play a large role in the molding of a monster. http://livingamongpredators.over-blog.com/article-35527842.html So unless he has the same kind of upbringing as Henry Lee Lucas, it does not mean the worse. But most researchers in this field are fully aware of this.
