Hauntings at my friends house footsteps

So at my friends house he told me there are things that moved lately.

But lately my friend told me that they felt like something was by their bedroom door and footsteps.

But then when they went to go check what was there, nothing was there anymore.

What do you think this is???

and why??

Please let me know everyone!

This is getting spooky.

I want to help but I have even spent the night many times this month there.

And even stayed up till 4 am drinking beer and nothing happened.

It's almost like the ghosts wouldn't come out when I am there...

of course my body and soul is charged with positive energy everytime I leave the house..

and i heard the lower spirits only come if you are on a negative vibes...

well any help you could give would be helpful !

I slept at a friend's house back in high school and we were up to 5am and hear these heavy plodding steps going outside the door, I say we better keep it down your mother's up, he tells me it's just his dead grandad going down for a smoke. I'd heard of his various experiences and peeked out the door, no lights or activity except the last couple distinct steps at the foot of the hallway. It apparently happened every Friday between 5 and 7am without fail. He used to live in the house with them before passing away to cancer. Needless to say I yanked the door shut as I took in what he'd told me lol.

Checked the floorboards in other parts of the house to see if they move anything elsewhere that could cause it? No one else moved anything and forgot? Feeling like something is there and identifying nothing else as the cause are different things, have they been influenced by any spooky tales recently? Ya gotta ask to erase anything known as the cause, that's all. Maybe 80% of the time things can be countered with rational.

What is the history of the house? Any recent deaths? Any renovations?

I don't know the history of the house.

I think someone died there in the past.

I am not sure.

Lately there seems to be paranormal activity there...

and no one seems to want to be alone in the house.

Put up a few continuous cameras - they aren't very expensive nowadays. Problem will either disappear or be solved.

Most likely it's the house settling.

Noises In the night, Some say it is the ghosts of the deseased coming back and walking down these empty halls. The reality is, It could be your house settling.

What is "house settling" you may ask, Over time houses wear down, moisture, decay and wear and tear by use of the house can slightly deform or crack your house. Heat and moisture also has an effect since at night the tempature changes. sometimes it is just parts of the house moving, such as plumbing lines (when they carry hot water), or windows expanding (when they are in direct sun light).

What about the floor boards?

As one piece of wood tries to move against another, pressure builds between the two. Finally the joint slips, causing the popping. It's a mini-version of an earthquake--two sections of the Earth's crust try to move against each other, pressure builds at the fault until it causes movement and an earthquake results.

If you disagree then sure it is a ghost.

Yes those do sound like logical explainations...

but what they told me was they felt a pressence standing outside their door...

You can't tell me it was a tiny spider crawling on their door..

that made them fear it was a person....

but hey maybeit was just a spider...

How do they sense a presence? Sounds like paranoia. I sense a presence/movement/noise in the shadows when i take my dog for a walk, doesn't mean that i am right.
