CyberKen Posted November 27, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 27, 2013 (edited) With the ObamaCare November 30th deadline looming, liberals are jumping ship. "Death Panels will be a major issue this election year. Yes, they are real. It is baked into the plan ( ObamaCare )." It looks like Gov. Sarah Palin was right ! http://www.newsmax.com/NewsmaxTv/mark-halperin-obamacare-death-panels/2013/11/25/id/538565 Edited November 27, 2013 by CyberKen

CyberKen Posted November 27, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted November 27, 2013 Damage Control kicked in over at the White House! Time Magazine Mark Halperin got yelled at ! He then tried in vain to tweet his way out of this mess (telling the truth). I think Mark Halperin just gave us all President Sarah Palin! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1PGLyT694c
RavenHawk Posted November 27, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 27, 2013 I wonder when we will hear Obama claim, "If you like your euthanasia, you can keep your euthanasia”? How long will Ninjadude continue to say there are no death panels? But this is that other shoe waiting to fall (in time for the mid terms?).
CyberKen Posted November 27, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted November 27, 2013 I wonder when we will hear Obama claim, "If you like your euthanasia, you can keep your euthanasia"? How long will Ninjadude continue to say there are no death panels? But this is that other shoe waiting to fall (in time for the mid terms?). The choice is clear. Gov. Sarah Palin told the truth. Obama lied about the Death Panels, keeping our doctors and keeping our health care plans. Vote against the guy who deceived us. Do not reward that kind of behavior. President Sarah Palin moves into the White House January 2017.

Rafterman Posted November 28, 2013 #8 Share Posted November 28, 2013 They've been in there since day one. They just weren't formally called "death panels" and that's how the supportes spun it. Of course there are "death panels" that's the only way to make the books balance. We can't have 95-year-olds getting procedures that cost tens of thousands of dollars to prolonge their lives 1-2 more years. Just like we have to have millions of healthy young people paying for coverage they won't need.

No, they haven't. Palin's fantasy that some body was created in front of which her baby with Downs would be hauled so that its "level of productivity in society" could be judged has always been just that: a bizarre rightwing fantasy. ninjadude Posted November 29, 2013 #10 Share Posted November 29, 2013 With regard to IPAB's recommendations, the law says "The proposal shall not include any recommendation to ration health care, raise revenues or Medicare beneficiary premiums under section 1818, 1818A, or 1839, increase Medicare beneficiary cost sharing (including deductibles, coinsurance, and co-payments), or otherwise restrict benefits or modify eligibility criteria."[10] The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) must implement these proposals unless Congress adopts equally effective alternatives. The board is also required to submit to Congress annual reports on health care costs, access, quality, and utilization. IPAB must submit to Congress recommendations on how to slow the growth in total private health care expenditures https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independent_Payment_Advisory_BoardIs that clear enough for the neocons on this board? Probably not. When faced with facts they tend to go off into other fantasies.

The scenario you mention of 95 year olds being given very expensive care has come about along with very unnecessary medical tests, as a result of our tort oriented culture. I wonder why tort reform was completely missing in this grand adventure?

Its obvious that someone will be making those decisions. Thats a death panel. Its always been out in the open. Yes but now the Death Panels have been confirmed by Mark Halperin. "It's built into the plan ( ObamaCare )." He soon got flamed by Left Wing Loons and tried frantically to put the genie back into the bottle but it was too late. Eventually, Mark Halperin decided to hide behind Dem. Howard Dean " The iPAB is essentially a health care rationing body." The iPAB will set the rates for each procedure. If the iPAB does not want money wasted on an 80 year old, then a hip replacement payment could be reduced to $50. At that low rate no doctor or hospital will perform the operation. That is how it works. Give them a pain pill and send them home. - Rationing - To hide that truth, the liberals are throwing out a large subterfuge. "The doctors are to blame!" "The iPAB is 100% innocent!"
