Still Waters Posted January 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2014 Phone-controlled locks could one day make rummaging for your keys a thing of the past and some of the latest designs have been revealed at this week's CES show. The devices work by using a phone's Bluetooth connectivity to automatically open the lock when an approved person is nearby. http://news.sky.com/...an-unlock-doors
questionmark Posted January 11, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2014 Great! We needed another thing that can be easily hacked!
Michelle Posted January 11, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 11, 2014 Manual keyless code pads work just as well if you don't like carrying keys.
Magic Stars Posted January 11, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 11, 2014 This doesn't sound good to me. I think if this thing hits well, the reports of break in's will rise dramatically. Would rather stick to keys me thinks.

Keel M. Posted January 13, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 13, 2014 I think it's AT&T who has been advertising something of this nature, but apparently you can remotely control more than just the locks on your house. As questionmark pointed out, it's just another way for someone to hack in and then rob you of everything. No thank you. I'll keep my keys. As it is I have only 4 on my keyring. Princess Serenity Posted January 13, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 13, 2014 Great! We needed another thing that can be easily hacked! That's what my stepmom was thinking! I have to agree as well.
