Brian Topp Posted January 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2014 Nowadays, ghosts and spirits are all the rage in popular culture. Every channel you flip on, there seems to be a plethora of ghost based shows. There are reality shows—“Ghost Hunters,” “Ghost Travelers,” “Celebrity Ghost Stories,” “Ghost Hunters Academy” and even dramas based on the subject, such as “Ghost Whisperer” and “Being Human,” among others. In these shows, you have the typical paranormal phenomena being showcased, like full body apparitions, orbs, shadow people, EVPs, phantoms, poltergeists—in other words, all the usual suspects. Duck33 Posted January 12, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 12, 2014 This one in particular 'How to create a ghost' was interesting and a good insight into the group dynamic/collusion of those in a seance. Philip the ghost http://paranormal.about.com/library/weekly/aa102201b.htm Just a shame the writer didn't keep his/her opinion to them-self and let the story do the talking.
A Shadow Posted January 12, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 12, 2014 Interesting, the artificial ghost sounds very similar to the art of demon conjuring. I love to see it done by a group of people who know more of what they are really doing.
Duck33 Posted January 12, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 12, 2014 I think it has less to do with knowing and more to do with believing when measuring the effects.

Crabby Kitten Posted January 13, 2014 #8 Share Posted January 13, 2014 There are so many different types of unknown phenomena. Calling everything we can't explain as "ghosts" makes people easily assume its something that's died and passed over. There's many different possibilities what it could be. There are reports of seeing phantoms of living people. Interesting read though.

Simbi Laveau Posted January 20, 2014 #10 Share Posted January 20, 2014 Ghost, types? There is no such thing. There are a few types of hauntings, and that's it. Residual, active, poltergeist. Then there's demonic activity which isn't ghost activity at all. This article is like the blathering on about the numerous kinds of aliens there are now. Greys and pleidians and annuki, yadda yadda yadda. The person who wrote it even sounds bored writing it. Nonsense
