The moment an astronaut spins away from ISS

Gravity becomes a reality: Watch the terrifying moment an 'astronaut' spins out of the ISS

(...but don't worry, there's no one inside the suit)

The 'astronaut' was a defunct spacesuit dubbed SuitSat-1 launched in 2006

The suit contained three batteries, a radio transmitter and internal sensors

It broadcast transmissions in six languages to amateur radio operators around the world before burning up in Earth's atmosphere

In the OP it states

Yeah, but it's still space junk until it does.

On September 7, 2006, at 16:00 GMT, Suitsat re-entered the Earth's atmosphere over the Southern

Ocean at 110.4° East longitude and 46.3° South latitude. It was over a point some 1400 km south-

southwest of Cape Leeuwin, Western Australia.

It entered the earth atmosphere already, so no problem.

I know. I did read the article. I recall reading that the MIR used to despose of it's waste and garbage by this method. Could be the reason for global warming.

ISS1 waste disposal by destroying during earth atmosphere entry is a common practice of the ISS1 waste

disposal management. Unmanned space craft transfer vehicles like ATV, HTV and Progress are used as

“garbage trucks” for this purpose.

The thermal energy delivered to the earth atmosphere during the re-entry of this vehicles is too marginal

to be taken into consideration as an influencing effect to global warming causations .

I seriously doubt it. A much greater mass of material hits the Earth every day from space in the form of meteors.

Guys, please, less serious.

.....or I'll be forced to destroy my sense of humor entirely.

I'm sure I've said it elsewhere - my irony detector is useless on the Internet.
