•Teen Possibly Abducted in Georgia

BOLINGBROKE, Ga. — Just weeks before she and another teenager, who is accused of murder, became fugitives, Jesseca Williamson wrote in her diary that she wanted to meet someone "carefree" and "hit the road."

Now Williamson and Ryan Scott McCrickard, both 16, are on the run and face charges that they stole a Franklin County resident's truck during a home invasion robbery late Sunday night.

Authorities had issued a Levi's Call for Williamson earlier on Sunday, saying McCrickard had abducted her and that she was in danger.

But on Monday, warrants were issued charging both McCrickard and Williamson with armed robbery, theft by taking and burglary. McCrickard also was charged with aggravated assault. Both were charged as adults.

McCrickard had already faced a murder charge in the death of a man in Polk County.

Williamson's parents said their daughter recently met McCrickard at a drug treatment center in Atlanta.

Al and Sharon Williamson last saw their daughter Saturday night, days after she was released from the drug treatment center. They say they tried to discourage their daughter from seeing McCrickard.

Al Williamson said he confronted McCrickard on Saturday afternoon after finding the two parked in a car outside their south Monroe County home. He said he made his daughter get out of the car and McCrickard sped off.

But the Williamsons said their daughter seemed calm about the incident before going to bed Saturday and even talked about improving her grades at school. But the last time they saw her was when she wished them good night.

"I guess, at the time, there were other plans that we didn't know about," Al Williamson said.

McCrickard, who is from Rockmart, is charged with murder in the death of William Lucas, 51, on June 27, 2003. Police said McCrickard entered Lucas' home just before 1 a.m., crept into his bedroom and shot him in the head with a .357 Magnum while he and his wife slept.

He was released from Polk County Jail last December after posting $50,000 bail.

Williamson's parents said they did not know about McCrickard's murder charge until Saturday.

The parents blame the treatment center, Anchor Hospital, for allowing their daughter to form a relationship with McCrickard.

In the meantime, authorities are concerned that McCrickard, who is believed to be armed with a pistol, may be suicidal. He has said he would commit suicide-by-police by charging at any law enforcement officers who try to stop him.

"We believe he is suicidal ... based on comments he has made about being taken into custody," said Allison Grant of the Monroe County Sheriff's Department.

Officials said the two were traveling in the stolen truck, a black 1994 Ford Ranger with Georgia tag number 6729SK.
