Boeing believes 777 in Pakistan

An interesting article. I haven't been paying alot of attention to the (possible) conspiracy aspects of this story but found this interesting

from the article:

All updates have been moved to the end of the article, including a stunning interview with Gen. McInerney

A LIGNET analyst (Langley Intelligence Network Group) is reporting that they received information from a source at Boeing, the plane’s manufacturer, that the plane is in Taliban territory in Pakistan.

Boeing has not commented.

The UK paper, The Independent, said that Malaysia is reportedly investigating a theory that flight MH370 could have slipped under Pakistani radars and landed at a Taliban base close to the Afghan border.

Path it would have traveled to Pakistan

The plane was programmed ahead of time, according to the NY Times which released the information last evening on The Kelly File.

One aviation expert, Michael Boyd, appearing on The Kelly File last evening, said he is “worried about the jet finding us.”

Israel has tightened their airport security because they are concerned, according to a report by The Times of Israel. Pilots now have to announce who they are two-and-a-half miles before landing among other unannounced measures.

If the plane flew at low altitudes, it could have escaped radar but greatly decreased their fuel capability, possibly by as much as half. [This was corrected. The original erroneously stated the opposite.]

Here is the article with video I didn't watch at the bottom

Oh lord, not another Source. So it's been hijacked by the Taliban then. Right. And Pakistani airspace isn't at all monitored closely by anyone. No. And it crossed right across India too, without being detected. Yes. The Taliban have an extensive network of airfields capable of handling a 777, then, do they? That's interesting to know as well.

That border between Pakistan and Afghanistan is some very hotly contested real estate so how do they explain a 777 flying around without clearance to be there? Does it have the range to fly around India??

I can't watch the video on the computer I am on right now so don't know what was said.

To be fair I'm sure the US built many runways that were long enough for those HUGE cargo planes. But yeah I was also skeptical about planes being able to land in Pakistan without being detected. But then again people believe that bin laden was in pakistan undetected for years (another laughable theory)

The pic seems to indicate that the only military radar in that entire part of the world is in the middle of the Indian Ocean (Diego Garcia no doubt)... Too bad India has never discovered radar...

The article is just putting itself out there as a clearing house for other people'es theories, not advancing anything of its own. I have doubts about the credibility of the site and author of the article, too...

from the About page:

We are devoted to an America that promotes free enterprise and ingenuity, and does not encourage a nanny state under the causistic banner of “the common good.” The common good is best served by freedom for each individual.

Disgraceful, we always use our real names on the web don't we Czero ;)

Having said that, looking at the subject matter for some of his/her other blogs I don't suppose aviation is their specialist subject, just gaining hits with an 'in vogue' story.

True, however we're not putting ourselves forward as a "free press" news source or a voice for the people of "America That Was"... ;)

Yep... my thoughts exactly...

Ah, wait, it says radar is turned off at night in some countries.

Obviously, any intruders into their airspace would only be able to fly during the daytime, wouldn't they. They couldn't see where they were going, could they, at night. :innocent:

There are a few members on here that certainly do...

I think I would blog as Junior Chubb unless going to print and/or getting paid. Its a lot safer not using your real name for anything online, but I knew what you meant.

Of course, another story on there is Communist Occupiers Plan to Overthrow the U.S. Government

so obviously it's completely reliable and not at all biased in any way.

I don't believe this scenario, but India is not as well developed as you may think. I have been there many times, to various different parts and it's far from 1st world. Also, a skilled pilot can land a 777 on a fairly flat field if needed. No need for an airport.

Their air defense system is pretty good though, at least on the border with Pakistan. They just IOCed their AFNET system which is an advanced air defense network with very modern radar systems. A 777 penetrating that area would be a big embarrassment but of course it would be coming from inside India, I guess.

Yes, heaven forbid that the curious person should consider another source. Like Dubya advised us, "let us never tolerate outrageous conspiracy theories".

Let's make our minds up quickly, eh Colonel?

A mortar the size of a football can't fly over Pakistan without radar knowing it. Literally.

I have no clue what you are talking about here..but I was talking about being picked up by US radar...

The radar network along the India Pakistan border is probably only rivaled by the one along the North/South Korean border.

A Cessna, much less a 777, would have a hard time through there.

Nice try. Using the 'hate America' argument.

I believe, like myself, that he loves the land he was born on and its people too.

You're confused with his mistrust for GOV. And deservingly so.
