Imaginarynumber1 Posted March 23, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 23, 2014 (edited) Is it really a new mineral.. or a newly discovered amalgam of known components ? I think you missunderstand what a mineral is. A mineral is just a naturally occurring substance that is stable at room temperature and represented by a chemical formula. taniwha Posted March 26, 2014 #10 Share Posted March 26, 2014 ...In a new study, reported at the 45th Lunar and Planetary Conference in Houston, Texas, scientists led by Dr Shyh-Lung Hwang of the National Dong Hwa University in Hualien, Taiwan, were able to identify the unknown mineral as kuratite. They must of matched it off their " List of Unknown Minerals " chart?
