stevewinn Posted March 26, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 26, 2014 i highlight this in a post in another thread, the representatives from the Islands have been to Westminster three times to discuss the possibility of staying within the UK. seeing how the vast majority of the oil fields would fall within their waters and by default the UK's (if they opt to remain) that puts a serious hole in the SNP's plans for public spending. a sector which will receive cuts regardless, but would face even deeper ones if the Shetlands Isles decided to remain part of the UK.
