UM-Bot Posted March 31, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2014 The prank news item claimed that British scientists had managed to clone a live dinosaur called 'Spot'. Despite appearing several days before April 1st, the imaginative piece published on controversial website 'News Hound' announced that scientists at Liverpool's John Moores University had successfully produced a baby Apatosaurus and were incubating it at their lab. BiffSplitkins Posted March 31, 2014 #7 Share Posted March 31, 2014 (edited) Frankly, the fact it would be called 'Spot' should be a red flag... I see your point. However, that would be a pretty cool name. If you were'nt a fan of the Munsters, then you wouldn't know that Spot was their pet that lived under the stairs. Junior Chubb Posted March 31, 2014 #9 Share Posted March 31, 2014 (edited) Dinosaur cloning hoax circulates the Internet Looks like I don't get on-line enough because I would have loved to have come across this title without the word 'hoax' in it and I missed it. Its a good reflection on UM that we get the 'hoax' story rather than the 'hoax story', if you know what I mean.
