thedutchiedutch Posted April 1, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2014 (edited) Starbucks has apologized to a Louisiana teacher who says a Baton Rouge barista drew satanic symbols in her coffee foam. Megan K. Pinion first posted the complaint on Starbucks Facebook page with a picture of the two coffees — one with what looks like a pentagram and the other with the numbers “666.” “I just purchased two coffees at your Mall of Louisiana location,” she wrote Sunday. “This is how my coffee was served to me. … I am a teacher in the public school system and if I were to present a child of atheist or pagan believers with a Christian art project I could be sued in a heartbeat. I am of Catholic faith and would love to share in my beliefs daily. Fortunately I have enough common sense to present myself with professionalism and follow an ethics code. Perhaps that could be suggested to that particular location.” The post went viral, gaining 700 shares and more than 1,500 likes, with many Starbucks customers rallying behind Miss Pinion. Jilliman Posted April 2, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 2, 2014 Honestly, if it were me being served that, I'd call the barista over and tell him what a lame joke it was.
Lilly Posted April 2, 2014 #7 Share Posted April 2, 2014 The fact that this joker stuck his finger into the coffee (to make the symbols) would bother me the most.
coldethyl Posted April 5, 2014 #8 Share Posted April 5, 2014 I would have taken my pictures and called over the manager. Dirty rotten kids. I hate going somewhere and having to wait forever because kids 'running' the place are just goofing off.

freetoroam Posted April 6, 2014 #10 Share Posted April 6, 2014 (edited) A kid who puts the pentagram and 666 together and thinks they are both satanic symbols, chances are they did not even have a clue what it means. May I just addess what this woman also said: and if I were to present a child of atheist or pagan believers with a Christian art project I could be sued in a heartbeat. http://p.washingtont...tanic-foam-art/ The Pentagram is a symbol of a star encased in a circle. Always with 5 points (one pointing upward), each has its own meaning. The upward point of the star is representative of the spirit. The other four points all represent an element; earth, air, fire, and water. All these things contibutite to life and are a part of each of us. http://www.angelfire...pentagram.htmls So why would she possibly get sued? Its not all about Christians. Skep B Posted April 6, 2014 #11 Share Posted April 6, 2014 Now, how do we not know the server fancied the teacher and just sent her a picture of a Star and rated her a 999/1000? Let's not be so quick to assume the lamest.

Leonardo Posted April 6, 2014 #19 Share Posted April 6, 2014 I would look at the pattern, think "Meh, what a '****." and drink it. I mean, will she go to hell for drinking coffee with '666' drawn in the foam? No, she'll go to hell because she drinks it at Starbucks...
