Still Waters Posted April 9, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2014 Britain's first cloned dog has been born after a £60,000 test-tube procedure, a television programme will reveal. The tiny dachshund puppy, weighing just over 1lb, was born in Seoul, South Korea, at the end of last month following a competition advertised in the UK offering the procedure free of charge. The dog was copied from a 12-year-old pet called Winnie, owned by Rebecca Smith, a cook from west London. http://www.theguardi...test-tube-seoul
evil_kenshin Posted April 12, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2014 im not sure i agree with doing this, I agree with what that vet they qouted says while it may be a clone of a deceased pet it won't have the original ones memories and even the personality may be totally different. There are plenty of dogs needing homes in shelters, artificially creating them shouldn't be a priority.
tipsy_munchkin Posted April 12, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 12, 2014 I will miss my dogs when they go but i would rather let them go and when I am ready raise and love another dog that try to clone them. They would not be the same dog and I thin it would be painful having a dog that looks the same but is not them. As others have said plenty of dogs out there who need a loving home.
