Render Posted April 14, 2014 Author #176 Share Posted April 14, 2014 You're just not understanding. You are, in fact, we all are seeking equal rights for women, yet you relinquish that right by invoking government to do your job. The Ledbetter act is a sham. If this was real then why the need for a "Paycheck Fairness Act"? You're repeating the same thing just to beat the people into submission. If you have to repeat yourself, it is not a Natural Right. Somebody as to be. This must be the dumbest thing yet in this thread. And you probably feel pretty smart for giving this empty reasoning.
aztek Posted April 14, 2014 #177 Share Posted April 14, 2014 ohhhh, so now you're trying to pull that? Just digging yourself in deeper. And how about that question you seem unable to answer? How many women do you employ in comparison to men? And how about their paychecks? you can answer... it's anonymous... deeper?? lol, what are you 12??? do you think i take you even half as serious to tell you anything about my buissnes??? lmao not to mention if you read my posts you'd know the answers. Haha, i haven't told you anything about your business...I just asked you a question about it. But i didn't realise you have a reading problem. RavenHawk Posted April 14, 2014 #180 Share Posted April 14, 2014 That's strange, since Government is what has been giving us Rights that are supposedly "natural" all these centuries. No,no,no. Government does not give us Rights. Government is prevented from doing so as spelled out in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. All government does is to provide an environment in which we can exercise Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. There is no infringement either in the plus or minus. But i understand, YOU don't need government giving your rights because you're white and male huh? As Michelle just commented on, I think you’ve just shown to be more sexist that anyone I have seen on this thread. Is that your defense mechanism?

Ahhh ok, so you're trying to turn it into a hush hush thing huh ? Meaning, we can't openly talk about it or the white male will label it so it will sound bad. And then he doesn't have to discuss real life. Nice trick, too bad it's very old and transparant.

And there it is, the typical "i backed you into a corner and now you can't answer" scenario. I asked you a legitimate question very relevant to this discussion..since you just love to give your intellectually stumped opinion on things and you can't answer. acidhead Posted April 14, 2014 #188 Share Posted April 14, 2014 No....but you obviously have some in mind. Do tell. Nope.. I didn't have any in mind. That was my whole point referencing your job experience. You proved the client wrong by doing the job. How can you possibly be a victim in your situation if you performed the task and were paid?... because you were offended?... he hurt your feelings? Only you can control your emotions. You can choose to refuse to engage in employment with men if it bothers you so much.

Only you can control your emotions. You can choose to refuse to engage in employment with men if it bothers you so much. I never, in any way, made the assertion I have ever been a victim or that it "bothers me so much". I have rolled my eyes a lot. If I couldn't handle it I wouldn't be a partner in the business my husband and I started together. I'm not employed by anyone. I do work in a male dominated field and I simply explained that I know up close and personal the attitude women face and it's prevalence across all types of industries. F3SS Posted April 14, 2014 #192 Share Posted April 14, 2014 It just occurred to me that women who work in businesses that thrive and rely on sexism and chauvinism can often make money that would put all of our paychecks to shame, not to mention the paychecks of their male counterparts in the same industries. Strippers, porn stars. I guess it can now be argued that the more that women embrace male sexism the more they can earn.

F3SS Posted April 14, 2014 #194 Share Posted April 14, 2014 Male sexism is a human condition, it's human nature. It isn't something that belongs to capitalism. I just kind of feel that line of thinking in the air. Someone asked earlier how men 'ever made it to the top'. My guess is again, human nature. In the beginning it was brute strength and the ability to kick ass that put men at the top. If women were physically stronger I'd make a strong bet that roles would be reversed. I know I know, we've gotten past being cavemen but it's just engrained in our DNA. In fact, wasn't there an old tribe, Amazonian's maybe, where the women were psychically larger and stronger than the men and were thereby the providers and the warriors? Size matters. Leonardo Posted April 14, 2014 #198 Share Posted April 14, 2014 It was meant to boil YOUR blood but is it not true? It was an observation, not my way of life. There is no 'benefit' to sexism. That some women resort to selling themselves to make their way through life can only be construed as a 'benefit of sexism' in the most twisted version of reality possible. I am gobsmacked that you would even try to argue otherwise.

I am gobsmacked that you would even try to argue otherwise. Did I use the word 'benefit'? I didn't even imply it nor that it was favorable. What I did was make an observation. Like clockwork, you go head over heals to find outrage in everything I say and more often than not I'm not the devil you think I am. We could get further if you cared to talk instead of issuing bold PSA's to the UM community in attempt to defame me. Most people here know I'm not a pig and more importantly the women I know in real life know it too.
