At the right time? All of them? Following your doctor’s orders can be cumbersome, especially if you’re supposed to take more than one pill a day. That’s why scientists are working to develop microchips that can be preloaded with medications and implanted in our bodies, programmed to administer drugs at a given time, interval and/or dose. Sure, it could be used for our own health, but what about if everyone is required to have a similar implant in the future, under the reasoning that it is for our own health, but it is controlled by someone who wants to control us as a group? With GPS location abilities of the chip, the person in charge could know exactly who is where, within a riot for example, and send calming medication to everyone involved to stop the riot. They could send out "medication" to control a whole range of aspects of one's life. Let's say they don't want you to have children because of how you think or who you are... they send out sterilizing chemicals into you from the chip they've implanted into you. Maybe they need you to work extra hard in the job task you're currently doing, they pump some adrenaline in... Unfortunately every so often there is a defective chip and you're accidentally given an overdose and die... no problem to them, they've got billions more of slaves where you came from... Yes the concerns seem a little crazy but given just the fact that human trafficking alone is an issue which currently affects millions of victims, the capacity to control another's behaviour by implanting something as tiny as a chip with drugs that for instance "incapacitate" someone who attempts escape at best or even radically alters their behaviour to suit the "owners" wishes is not at all far fetched, in fact I can see the criminal element having a real interest in this kind of technology and it's myriad of applications. There are some things which I just do not think we are ethically well placed to handle in the world today, this may be one of those things. The chips they'll use in the future will be much more advanced than the current ones, and be able to hold much, much more.
