seeder Posted April 30, 2014 Author #26 Share Posted April 30, 2014 Erm the Portugal object is not transparent,........... quote from me on the other thread this was discussed: "Funny how the people thought it was a balloon isnt it? But then decided to go with the ufo story for the one minute of fame".
scowl Posted April 30, 2014 #27 Share Posted April 30, 2014 If you can make the comparison stick then have a go. Just did. Where were you? You have not succeeded as yet. One image is see though the other not. Did you not read the definition of a silhouette? Over to you. The Portugal object was never described as as transparent by the way, Nor was the NASA balloon. Can you see through it in the photo seeder supplied? Object in front of lighter backgrounds makes things look dark? Did you not understand that?

Over to you. The Portugal object was never described as as transparent by the way, The single example of a scientific research balloon shown to you that was of a very similar shape and form was made of a transparent material therefore the Portuguese UFO couldn't have been the same thing? All balloons are made of the same material? Are you seriously making this argument?
seeder Posted April 30, 2014 Author #31 Share Posted April 30, 2014 Please DYOR. When will you stop relying on the BS ufo vids as your only sources? Who simply embellish ufo stories with re-enactments to make it more exciting fodder for the sheeple who watch stuff like that? Come back with a text based source from a credible author(s) and you may get taken (a little) more seriously

ExoPaul Posted April 30, 2014 #33 Share Posted April 30, 2014 It looks to me a little bit like an expensive remote control helicopter or maybe a drone helicopter that the military and law enforcement agencies are testing. The reason you can't see the rotor on top or the tail rotor is probably due to the motion blur from the camera. If you ignore the rotor blades (top and tail) then you're left with a typical remote control helicopter shape.
scowl Posted April 30, 2014 #34 Share Posted April 30, 2014 Fail Scowl. See above. Fail Zoser. You don't write anything because you looked at the photo of the NASA balloon and realized it was translucent and would create a silhouette exactly as shown in the other photo, therefore your silly argument that it should be invisible was crushed. But you won't learn. You'll do the same thing next week.

paperdyer Posted April 30, 2014 #36 Share Posted April 30, 2014 Well, to chime in here, the weather balloons have their points at the bottom. This object has its point at the top. Yes the photo can bbe inverted, then you'd have the "legs" sticking staight up. The new object does appear similar to the to the Portugal one in concept, however. Come back with a text based source from a credible author(s) and you may get taken (a little) more seriously Please refrain from posting expert opinions and witness testimony when it contradicts our hurriedly put together half baked explanations Well we need to get to the truth do we not. The answer to your dilemma is to listen more to what the experts say and avoid being fixed in your preconceived sense of denial.

zoser Posted April 30, 2014 #41 Share Posted April 30, 2014 Zoser loses, then switches the subject... Stick to the point. If you can prove it's a balloon please do so. Any explanation has to match the witness testimony. You have the video. Give it a go..........

You have the video. Give it a go.......... wrong again, youre making the claim. so no-one has to prove anything except you. If one image, as presented, bears a remarkable similarity, then it must be the most obvious answer. You know, If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck....then it must be a? I have asked for you for text based reports from credible authors and have received none. So erm, YOU FAILED! But then again thats not even surprising anymore. All you ever do is post vids and tell people to watch them. WHY? Do you think this place is full of people who lap those vids up? I think your incapable of text based discussions due to your inability to concentrate on actually reading stuff

You posted an image of a balloon, making an implicit statement that the Portugal object was a balloon. Can you prove that? Does is square with either the witness testimony or the meteorologist's opinion? You have the clip; report back. S2F Posted April 30, 2014 #45 Share Posted April 30, 2014 (edited) Bizarre 'rotating' object pictured over London This bizarre object was spotted over London today - prompting some to speculate it could be a UFO. The strange sighting was seen at around 1.30pm in north London. It was pictured by a member of the public who posted it on Facebook under the name Mixtris UFO-images. Writing on the social networking site, the user wrote: "I captured this object a couple of streets away from where I live. "The object appeared black in colour and was rotating as it moved along. "I captured nearly 5 minutes of video before I lost sight of it floating in the direction of Highbury & Islington. I'm not sure what this object is. I thought it was a balloon, but there appears to be a light on it." RC toy with stuff attached? Trash blown up? It's a baby Imperial Scout Drone... We should get a rather unpleasant visit from the Empire shortly. +DieChecker Posted April 30, 2014 #46 Share Posted April 30, 2014 I think it does have many points of similarity to the shark balloons that people are talking about online with reference to this UFO.
highdesert50 Posted April 30, 2014 #47 Share Posted April 30, 2014 Appears similar to the type of drone helicopters law enforcement uses .. a sign of the times. +DieChecker Posted May 1, 2014 #50 Share Posted May 1, 2014 Good call, I was thinking more 'Batteries Not Included'. I once saw someone trying to pawn off a still from Batteries Not Included as an real life UFO. Luckily many people saw the fraud right off.
