World's oldest sperm 'preserved in bat poo'

Bat poo may have preserved the world's oldest sperm, which has been found at a fossil site in north-western Queensland, say researchers.

The discovery of giant sperm along with other internal reproductive organs in exceptionally well-preserved 17-million year old fossil ostracods is reported today in the Proceedings of the Royal Society B.
