Kathleen Meadows: Synchronicity is a term coined by the famous psychiatrist, Carl Jung which has made its way into common usage. He used it to label our experience of two unconnected events which happen simultaneously that feel perceptually related. For example, bumping into someone you dreamt about the night before, or seeing the same numbers over and over in different places such as digital clocks, licence plates, and prices. These two events feel related and trigger us to ponder their meaning. We just know it means something profound but for the life of us we can’t figure out what!
