Wanted: Actor To work in haunted attraction

Here's a job that requires a lot of spirit and can be a real scream…

Carters Steam Fair are advertising for a ghost for their travelling outfit.

The lucky applicant will get a regular haunt on the firm's newest attraction The Ghost Train.

But it's not for the faint-hearted. The vacancy has only come about because fairground workers are refusing to enter the ride as they believe it is genuinely haunted.

One worker said he was sure he saw something moving inside the train and when he went in it was freezing cold but there was no sign of anyone. Another claimed a cold hand had touched him on his shoulder.

I always wanted to know the Carny Code

It requires missing teeth and for advanced members, missing fingers.

I've done it too. It's a lot of fun until the older kids try punching the ghoulies.

I've had loads of fun working haunted houses too. The places were supposed to have been really haunted- never made any of us too scared to scare the customers though.
