Socio Posted July 8, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2014 http://hotair.com/archives/2014/07/07/report-300000-central-american-immigrants-heading-to-u-s/ “It’s getting better,” said U.S. Border Patrol Council Shawn Moran in an interview with San Antonio’s WOAI. “Everyone is being screened and receiving medical care.” That’s nice, but buried at the bottom of that report was a deeply disturbing revelation that the federal government estimates approximately 300,000 prospective illegal immigrants are currently on their way to the American border. In fact, one source told Newsradio 1200 WOAI as many as 300,000 Central American immigrants are now ‘en route’ to the United States through Mexico, and the Department of Defense has asked military bases around the country to find 180 barracks, holding centers, and other facilities to house the flood which is not expected to stop coming any time soon. At this rate there will be no one left in Central America!
Frank Merton Posted July 8, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2014 I guess 300,000 is a lot of people and presents a lot of difficulties, but it isn't much compared to the populations involved. The US could easily absorb this, as it already has several tens of millions.
aztek Posted July 8, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2014 usa is not a sponge, absorb means they cost us money we need for something else. bad enough we have tens of milion already, you make it sound like it is ok to dump more on us. this is perfect example of broken windows theory
Sir Smoke aLot Posted July 8, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 8, 2014 Hard working and honest people should be welcome everywhere - if it wont make problems ( like lack of jobs ) for local population. Problem is that only small percentage of people are hardworking, it's very rare this days and not to mention how many of them are honest and have respect for the country that will give them better life...
aztek Posted July 8, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 8, 2014 President Barack Obama on Tuesday asked Congress for $3.7 billion to cope with a tide of minors from Central America who are illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexican border, straining immigration resources and causing a political firestorm in Washington. Obama requested the money in a letter to the Republican leader of the House, Speaker John Boehner, on Tuesday. The request did not include proposals for legislative changes that the White House wants. But Obama said he still will seek such changes, including providing the secretary of Homeland Security additional authority to use discretion to speed up the removal of children from countries like Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. Obama plans to discuss the crisis with faith and local leaders during a political fundraising visit to Texas Wednesday, but he is resisting calls to visit the border for a firsthand look. The White House invited Texas Republican Gov. Rick Perry, who is among those urging Obama to get to the border while he's in the state, to Wednesday's meeting in Dallas. http://news.yahoo.com/obama-seeks-3-7-billion-deal-border-kids-153323041--politics.html

Drayno Posted July 8, 2014 #12 Share Posted July 8, 2014 looks that way If it looks like a communist, has ties to the communist parties and ideologies that were tried to be hidden during an election, then it's a bloody communist.
aztek Posted July 8, 2014 #13 Share Posted July 8, 2014 (edited) not sure about that, communists would not let this happen to their country, communists would not let millions jump over their border, and then protest with signs "america you owe us" , communists idea was to provide everyone according to their contribution to community, not just provide for anyone that asks, and only consumes, this guys is a lot worst. communism is utopia that can not exist anywhere human species are involved, it works great with ants and bees. and some other animals, but that is about it. they really misslabled the consept of communism, that book should have been in fiction section, not a way to live by. +and-then Posted July 9, 2014 #15 Share Posted July 9, 2014 Hard working and honest people should be welcome everywhere - if it wont make problems ( like lack of jobs ) for local population. Problem is that only small percentage of people are hardworking, it's very rare this days and not to mention how many of them are honest and have respect for the country that will give them better life... ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON! I have always felt this way as well. America is an idea and it was transformed into the greatest nation on earth (for a time) by those who came here with dreams and the desire to make them real. Those coming today are looking predominately for a handout from other people's pockets. Not all, mind you. Many still come with a burning desire but the economy of the world is such that no place is a safe haven any longer. The current crisis has been caused by one man's policies and now nothing short of armed force will stop them from coming. Frank's point is the common perception around the globe, I think. "There are only 'x number' so it shouldn't be a problem" except that number is always growing. If THESE come unmolested there will be multiples of that number next. If they could generate jobs I'd welcome every one of them. As it is I think they will keep coming until the "dream" here is crushed out and America becomes no better than the hell they left.
