Still Waters

A pair of sharpened metal claws, believed to have been used in ritual combat, has been unearthed by archaeologists in Peru.

The artefact, believed to hail from the ancient Moche civilisation, was found in a nobleman's tomb in northern Peru.

I wondered if this is the forerunner of the Aztec's Jaguar Warriors and Eagle Warriors -- then I looked up the time frame and the location, and it's over a thousand miles away and over 700 years difference in time, so there is no direct link. Indirect, perhaps, but not a direct one.

Having examined the picture of the offending weapon I can now safely say that I am glad that I will not be spending the summer time traveling to ancient Peru.
