Quantum bounce could make black holes explode

If space-time is granular, it could reverse gravitational collapse and turn it into expansion.

Black holes might end their lives by transforming into their exact opposite — 'white holes' that explosively pour all the material they ever swallowed into space, say two physicists. The suggestion, based on a speculative quantum theory of gravity, could solve a long-standing conundrum about whether black holes destroy information.

The theory suggests that the transition from black hole to white hole would take place right after the initial formation of the black hole, but because gravity dilates time, outside observers would see the black hole lasting billions or trillions of years or more, depending on its size. If the authors are correct, tiny black holes that formed during the very early history of the Universe would now be ready to pop off like firecrackers and might be detected as high-energy cosmic rays or other radiation. In fact, they say, their work could imply that some of the dramatic flares commonly considered to be supernova explosions could in fact be the dying throes of tiny black holes that formed shortly after the Big Bang

....or it could just be the effects of Hawking's 'apparent' event horizon...?

Past the idea that explosions only occur in the presence of oxygen, I get very lost.

If you believe that explosions only occur in the presence of oxygen then you are lost a lot earlier than you think.

So it's knid of like a hard night of drinking. You suck down some beer and hard liquor....and after what seems like forever, you spew it all over the place.

Would this explain the earlier article stating there is more light than can be accounted for?

A discusting analogy, but an analogy nonetheless. Haha.

I say we should have a new category of logic:

Quantum Logic- Makes perfect sense on some level despite totally flipping everything you thought you knew on its head.

If "doh" can make it into the dictionary....

So black holes are hot dense banks that store everything placed within them and spew them out upon collapsing... anyone else instantly arrive at a porn analogy?

or

Information in the form of radiation is able to escape from black holes? So black holes represent faceless gov't's attempting to keep secrete all of their information. But as they age they break down allowing secretes to flow out, much as informers do in overly large, overly complex systems of gov't?

hmmm... and suddenly we discover that the big bang just was one of a series of big bangs....

Am a believer in the multiverse, black holes are just returning are universes energy back there, I've always thought of it that are universes matter is just broken back down to pure energy and thrown back to the multiverse to be reused.

That made my head hurt, and it's not just the hangover this time.

Don't worry, should it happen in our galaxy it will take ~27,000 years before we notice it did and a few more hangovers before we can kiss our butt goodbye.

I've always imagined a white hole is the other end of a black one.....if it goes in, it's got to come out somewhere......so the black is the mouth hole, and the white is the a*se hole.

It only makes sense. I've read where black holes spin at a very fast rate. After sucking all matter in, when it reaches some cataclysmic level, it reverses spewing it all out into a spiral galaxy. At least this is what I always believed. That would seem to be why most all galaxies are spiral and not fireworks explosions. All that matter going in would be expelled as new matter from its pre black hole state also, hence, new life. At least my beliefs.

This is such an old idea - I was reading about this more than 20 years ago.

It was once proposed that Seyfert galaxies were in fact "White Holes" - nothing, even light could enter them because the opposing force counteracted the photons moving at light speed. It was actually postulated that all matter entering a black hole was actually expulsed through the other end of an Einstein-Rosen bridge so you never actually had a mass for the Black Hole, it was simply a Temporal Conduit.

A black hole turns into a white hole and spews out everything? Sounds like it has a hangover.

I was wondering if you read this in a copy of "The Unexplained" from back in the day? I remember there being an article in one of them about Einstein-Rosen bridges and Seyfert galaxies. This was just over 20 years ago too so it'd fit.

If all your "food" was on fire, you might be tempted to spew at that!

Black holes are a gateway between parallel universes. Different dimensions and possible a wormhole , time warp. We do not yet understand how to use them correctly. And UFO's / Aliens are actually Demons/Spirits entering our world from different dimensions of the universe. Do not try to make contact with them or listen to them. They can make you think something is right when its truly wrong. They have the technology and they can travel and form into almost anything. That's why they are always in different shapes. They have the ability to shift and change forms. And Sinkholes are just the beginning.
