I see a lot of people always say the only book they need is the bible. it has some good advice on moral standards etc... but what about self empowerment.. wisdom ? and knowledge? If you are interested in studying philosophy, I recommend you start with logic and argumentation. You can find many Youtube videos explaining these tools. Then I would examine the field of epistemology, the study of knowledge; what is it and how do you get it? Robert is an Australian. This one is especially good for folks who aren't as good with inner eye visualizations. He focuses on physical visualization. Exercises based on sensation, not imagination. hands down though: Daoist Internal Alchemy: Nei Gong and Wei Gong Training: Jerry Alan Johnson Jerry Alan Johnson's treatise on Daoist Internal Alchemy is the most complete book I've ever encountered on Daoist energy arts. He's the lineage holder and Senior Abbot (Zhuchi) of the Temple of the Celestial Cloud school of Daoist arts. But this one is very very advanced and pricey. If you're female, there's the female version, "Disciplines of a Godly Woman", though being male I haven't actually gotten around to reading that particular book. I have pages of notes and books of notes I keep of the best points.. that I can use in my everyday life and to improve my life.. sort of like my little notebook for references if i ever need to find info on something fast.. I'm also composing a search engine on my PC with all the topics that interest me from each book. and that I can use.. so if i need to find a topic or source material.. i can type it in.. and there is it quickly ! thank you all the wise books you posts GreenMansGod And thank you to everyone else who posted some books I love reading , but it's also fun and amazing to try using and applying what is in books. and then seeing the results .. it's a lot of fun ! 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
