Re: the husband, it sounds to me like we all observed the same things, but (and I always forget to consider this when I need to) I think LE might have advised him as to what they believed was the most effective approach to the situation...and that he be selective and/or discrete with the info. he revealed to the media and so what we observed could have been his effort to do that for that reason.
