Still Waters Posted August 3, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 3, 2014 Imagine a world where giant penguins the size of people strut around gobbling up fish. Well, it turns out this isn't as unrealistic as you might think because colossal penguins once stalked a small island near Antarctica. Newly unearthed fossils show that a species of penguin called Palaeeudyptes Klekowskii measuring 6ft 6ins high and weighing around 18 stone (115 kilos) existed around 37 to 40 million years ago. http://metro.co.uk/2...-earth-4819226/

bubblykiss Posted August 3, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 3, 2014 I wonder what sort of fabulous animals Paul Prudhomme could have stuffed inside those giant penguins before deep frying.....Seals, otters, squid, more penguins, polar bear cubs...thus creating the peng-eal-ott-uid-uin, deep fried in peanut oil and served with crawdads.
