I would add that a dog couldn't care less.

Something that makes me happy is swinging in my backyard hammock in the cool morning or evening, hearing the distant chimes of somebody's Cambodian wedding ceremony.

Why?  Not that it's any of my business, but what did you ask him to do to cause that response and why did it make you happy, or am I completely not understanding?

I told him it's about time he cleaned his windows.  "You never gonna clean those windows, you lazy git?"  "I'm not lazy, I just can't be bothered"

It made me happy because it's a gem of a response from a dear friend who once responded to complaints he was always bumming cigarettes with, "I've always got smokes sometimes!".

 

I appreciate what is funny for me may not be funny for you.  The only comedy that is universal is slapstick, I reckon.

Oh good humor is always funny.  I think in this case I'm just being dumb or don't understand something in the words.  Don't worry about it.

Of course now I get it, but as you know humor that has to be explained loses something.
