As much as I quite like going out occasionally, what makes me happy is getting home, getting out of uncomfortable/restrictive clothing and having my freedom back to do what I want, when I want!

No not at all!  Just like to wear comfy, loose and thin clothing indoors.  Don't think I am alone in this.

I have just been reminded of Jan Smithers who married James Brolin.

Oh gosh.. the Branston isn't a GARNISH.. it goes UNDERNEATH the cheese

That only works properly with the 'small chunks' Branston Pickle.

Very tasty though!

That's interesting.  I dabble in watercolours occasionally.  What medium/method do you use?  oils?  What kind of painting do you do e.g. abstract?  Exhibited them?

Usually I paint with acrylic paints on wood scraps because it's cheap, but my favorite paintings I have done are silhouettes of the foreground and subject on glass panels with sun catcher paint that I float over oil paints on canvas backgrounds with exaggerated colors. It gives a neat depth. My favorite subject is usually nude women in silhouette. I tried to post a couple but it said they are too big.

I do have a couple of my paintings in the restaurant I run, but never like a true exhibit. It's a dream of mine though.

Very impressive!  icon_thumleft.gif

I haven't heard of sun catcher paint but am familiar with glass paints (that I use to decorate glass).   I would love to see the effect of this paint floated over oil paint on canvas...any possibility of posting a pic of it here?

I have made marbled effect paper from floating diluted oil paints onto water (in a tray) and dipping a sheet of paper into it...interesting effect!

Well, I might be able to afford a packet of crisps*, though I'd need another £1.50 or so to upgrade to a coffee :unsure:

* or "chips"

Just to clarify, Costa is a chain of coffee shops and this is like a loyalty card thing.

What is making me happy is the fact that I've not merely got the weekend off work but I have the whole of this week off after booking it as as holiday. I don't go back to work for another eight days.
