Getting together for dinner with old work mates. We parted ways when the plant closed in 2004 but find time to meet a couple times a year now... I have known these guys for at least 40 years...

A nice cup of hot French roast coffee with our 3 dogs laying peacefully at my feet and my wife on her computer as usual. ;)

The wild duck startles like a sudden thought,
And heron slow as if it might be caught.
The flopping crows on weary wings go by
And grey beard jackdaws noising as they fly.
The crowds of starnels whizz and hurry by,
And darken like a clod the evening sky.
The larks like thunder rise and suthy round,
Then drop and nestle in the stubble ground.
The wild swan hurries hight and noises loud
With white neck peering to the evening clowd.
The weary rooks to distant woods are gone.
With lengths of tail the magpie winnows on
To neighbouring tree, and leaves the distant crow
While small birds nestle in the edge below.

Trying to clean out junk that accumulates over the years and I have no good reason to why I purchased it or kept it this long... Some may have been gifts I assume...

My daughters family is really into trail riding on mountain bikes. I will give it a try with my bad back and hip and try not to kill myself!!! I may even take off the training wheels...

I meet alot of people and animals in my job. All the furry four legged friends i've made show me an insane amount of love and joy every time i return to them. There's one special little dog i often get to meet and the owners must hold her still until I stop the car. The second i get out she immediately runs up to me and throw her front paws around my neck, hugging me and shouts with happiness. It's easy to feel more than happy then :-D

finally, successfully, tackling intimidating, long-needed structural repair(s) on my boat (involving stainless steel, wood, epoxy, Kevlar/f'glass fabric ) proving I'm waaay more capable than I imagined  (tho still dependent on machine shop to cut/bore stainless plate)... still, makes me happy

What made me happy today (just now) was realising I didn't need to speak to my ex solicitor on the phone.  I'd been dreading it since he is highly manipulative which plays havoc with my high blood pressure.  His underhanded behaviour caused me to sack him.

It occurred to me that, since we are now in a complaints procedure situation, that I needed whatever he said in writing so I was relieved to send the barstard an email with a copy to their complaints handler at that branch!  331509.gif
