George Ford Posted August 30, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) Thankfully not or I'd have been a small snack. It's the model was a 26 foot replica of a croc shot in Australia. Here's another photo I took at the same place:- Edited August 30, 2014 by George Ford

scorpiosonic Posted August 30, 2014 #10 Share Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) FYI: The world's record Gator was captured/killed in Louisiana, (I believe it was in1899) and was measured, (w/ rifle) @ 19'. Probably the length was exaggerated. The world record Croc was captured alive, and brought to an animal compound in Phillipines by a large group of locals who tied it up and dragged it thru the swamp several miles. (See Disc. Channel program). This croc measured 20.3' and died after one yr in captivity. (Wiki knows all.) They named it 'Lolong', my suggestion was 'Solong.' Back in T Rex days, one species of Croc reached lengths of 40' or more! Edited August 30, 2014 by scorpiosonic

Rafterman Posted September 2, 2014 #14 Share Posted September 2, 2014 Gang, you don't catch a release a 1,000 pound, 15 foot gator. It was taken during the state's official gator season. And taken by a woman no less. Good job Mandy!
