pallidin Posted October 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2014 This is the same ship that revealed the famed "Antikythera Mechanism" Incredibly enough, this wreck-site has not been re-visited for over 40-years, until now. (CNN) -- In the azure waters off the rocky coast of Antikythera, a remote island in the Mediterranean with a population of less than 50, an international team of archaeologists has recovered new treasures from one of the most mysterious shipwrecks of all time. The group of maritime archaeology experts have been at the site since mid-September and armed with the most advanced marine technology available, they have conducted the first-ever scientific excavation of the Antikythera wreck. I would LOVE to be a diver there, or for that matter any part of the scientific crew.

Paranomaly Posted October 11, 2014 #7 Share Posted October 11, 2014 it would be awesome to find more clues to our past in the form of buried treasure on the sea floor. I definitely envy them.
