I know a woman who claimed she craved chalk and dirt while being pregnant, but I think pickles are more common...

Yeah, I wonder what's-up with unusual cravings during pregnancy in developed countries.

Weird.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was some scientific reason for wanting to eat chalk, such as a need to build up calcium or something. There may be something in some of the others too, like a need for iron or something.

She named her baby Scott

Why not "Charmin"? That would be a little bit more exotic of a name.

I'm currently 3 months pregnant and craving icy cold things. Ice cold drinks, fruity ice lollies, crunchy ice cubes..... Not so much ice cream and things like that.

Congratulations!! I craved Ice cubes when pregnant. I HAD to have ice cubes! They actually consider it pica because ice cubes apparently arent food lol I learned that the craving was from lack of iron. I remember right after giving birth I still wanted ice cubes.... but it didnt give me the same satisfaction. lol....

Good luck and best wishes!
