When his barber noticed that, he knew he must keep silent. But the urge to tell somebody was too strong. So the barber went outside, away from anyone who could hear him, dug up a hole in the ground and said into that hole: "Emperor Trajan has goat ears!" There, he said it, filled the hole back up, he felt better and no one will know. But the reed grew over his buried words, young shepherds made flutes of that reed and when they played their flutes, everyone could hear - "Emperor Trajan has goat ears!"
