Nice try?

Anyway - Its unbelievable events unfolded in front of people and yet it seems no one can see what happened and with time its all being jumbled up. a coup d'etat is exactly what happened and it changes everything, you may wish to gloss over the fact, But to any one who believes in Democracy and thinks the whole affair was Democratic then god help us all. It might pass as democracy in such places as Lithuania or Croatia sadly.

Seriously?! Lets recap:

1) talks about EU-Ukraine association agreement started before the reign of Yanukovich;

2) Yanukovich have been elected with the promise of strategic partnership with EU/US;

3) Yanukovich, suddenly, turns 180 degrees;

4) Putin is willing to give away 30% discount on gas and $13 billions on bonds.

It’s kind of amusing that UKIP guy supports the ideology behind people who are refusing to learn the language of the country in which they live.

Russians or French or Nepalese, who cares, people are people, but I’d feel retarded if I spent my whole life in a country and didn’t learn the language.

Nicely put, Helen :tu:

Kinda fun to see western right wingers (Jobbik, in Hungaria, for example, or UKIP, or Marine le Penn's party) having wet dreams about Putin. Basically, those parties are on the same foot with Pravyi Sektor... "Fascist party Jobbik" (following Russkies logic) have support amongst ferocious "anti-fascist" Putinists... Freaking mental dissonance, I'd say...

In a Democracy you vote in the government, If the government doesn't deliver guess what you do, you vote them out at the next election. Like we do in the United Kingdom for example and any other bastion of democracy. What happened in Ukraine with the coup d'etat proves the Ukrainian system of "democracy" is anything but robust. hence the EU and USA had to get involved and force the issue. not for the benefit of Ukraine, but self interest. 1) to stop a resurgent Russia strengthening its sphere of influence. 2) wanted to prevent Ukraine joining Russia's Eurasian Union because in doing so would destroy the EU's grand plans.

It is no secret the Russia's offered and continues to offer membership of this union to Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine, AND guess what the European Union are also offering membership to these countries. - its a battle of geopolitics and Ukraine is vital for the EU's eastern partnership to succeed. - Its for this very reason the EU decided to risk confrontation, plot and carry out the coup d'etat. because time was of the essence.

many times i've posted about the EU's Eastern Partnership programme, I said it would bring war to europe and it would all end in tears. If they didn't believe me then, then they do now. The United Kingdom as i've stated time and time again needs to leave the EU, and prevent ourselves getting tangled in a mess of total madness, and worse still a mess not of our choosing. Allowing the Baltic's to Join was the first mistake and the ongoing expansionism further east and we might as well mention North Africa who the EU have within their grand plans for eventual membership once the former soviet states are tied up.

The EU will ultimately fail. I just hope United Kingdom is in splendid isolationism from the EU when that time arrives. and when it does the conflicts will be fought not on or for the territories of the giants but the lands of the pygmies. within 10 years? 20 years? who knows but mark my words it will happen.

Sorry, stewie, but your wall-of-text-bullcrap does not impresses me. You sound like one of anti-EU idiots residing in Brussels (the ones living on EU money, and ferociously opposing the same EU)...

BTW, your views fall in "fascist" pool (in Russkies point of view)...

If that's the best reply you can come up with, Its shows you've run out of a counter argument, and continuing to fail to grasp the reality of the day. Also i've never wanted to impress anyone on these boards let alone yourself. When i post at least i post a reply in the main driven by detail and theme and gives plenty of opportunity for people to reply. or search key words themselves. giving a perspective of the undercurrent of the situation. Its not like im making anything up. Its clear though you never thought once about countering my post, instead the best you could do was the drivel quoted. Its a shame you ended that way.

MOSCOW/DONETSK (Reuters) - Some Russian soldiers are quitting the army because of the conflict in Ukraine, several soldiers and human rights activists have told Reuters. Their accounts call into question the Kremlin's continued assertions that no Russian soldiers have been sent to Ukraine, and that any Russians fighting alongside rebels there are volunteers.

Evidence for Russians fighting in Ukraine – Russian army equipment found in the country, testimony from soldiers' families and from Ukrainians who say they were captured by Russian paratroopers – is abundant. Associates of Boris Nemtsov, a prominent Kremlin critic killed in February, will soon publish a report which they say will contain new evidence of the Russian military presence in Ukraine.

Until now, however, it has been extremely rare to find Russian soldiers who have fought there and are willing to talk. It is even rarer to find soldiers who have quit the army. Five soldiers who recently quit, including two who said they left rather than serve in Ukraine, have told Reuters of their experiences.

"After we crossed the border, a lieutenant colonel said we could be sent to jail if we didn't fulfil orders. Some soldiers refused to stay there," said the soldier, who served with the elite Russian Kantemirovskaya tank division. He gave Reuters his full name but spoke on condition of anonymity, saying he feared reprisals.

Russia's President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly denied that Moscow has sent any military forces to help rebels in eastern Ukraine, where clashes and casualties persist despite a ceasefire struck in February. Putin's spokesman has derided such allegations by NATO, Western governments and Kiev. Officials say that any Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine are "volunteers," helping the rebels of their own free will.

Most Russian soldiers who fought in Ukraine last year – whether volunteers or not – came from Central Russia, the North Caucasus or the Volga region, according to soldiers' accounts, relatives and Russian media. More recently, Reuters reporters in east Ukraine spotted fighters from Siberia, thousands of miles away.

It's apparently common knowledge for Russian Soldiers that when you go to Rostov on Exercise you actually go to the Ukraine.
