Now, we would like to hear some I-am-sorrys for those saying that it was all NATO's fault.

And in related news, the sky is blue, the Pope is Catholic, and bears do whatever they want in the woods.

Is this a feeble attempt to defend him?

We'll just pop over there and see how many people we can discuss it with before the Putin heavies get involved.

I'm trying to protect the choice of the Crimea. You will not be considered. Have you ever heard of one Crimean resident? I hide in the Crimea their children, and I know what happened and is happening in the Crimea.

Well, they got invaded by the Russian army. So what choice did that give them?

In a way, it is NATO's fault.

If not for NATO, Ukraine would still be a Soviet Socialist Republic.

And so would Poland, and Germany, and France, and ...

You do not hear me again, Go to any forum of the Crimea, and write about the occurrence of the Russian army in the Crimea. I am sure that many curses, in his address, you have not heard. Go ahead.

Now, we would like to hear some I-am-sorrys for those saying that it was all NATO's fault.

Your clutching at straws, The moment the EU hinted at possible future EU membership in the form of the Association agreement for Ukraine and with that possible future NATO membership - plans by Russia would have been drawn up in the event of what to do over Ukraine and especially Crimea these plans would go back over a decade.

Listen i knew Russia would never allow Crimea to be in EU Hands. I even posted about it on here before the Ukrainian crisis even hinted at kicking off. IF i knew this then without doubt so did our political masters. - They knew full well what Crimea means to Russia. But in their wisdom they decided the Risk versus Reward was worth it. - So they pressed ahead and its at this point they catastrophically miscalculated Russian reaction. The EU/West where using outdated blue prints from the accession of the former soviet states in the Baltics into the EU, - the EU was a decade behind the times. leading to the misjudgement we see today.

Its the long term strategic planning by Russia dating back long before Crimea was annexed that means today Russia holds all the cards, This is what gives rise to Russia being labelled the best chess players in geopolitics bar none. Its this planning which sees Russia as the master of policy and the EU/West don't know how to counter it. they can only react, by the time they react Russia has made two or three moves ahead of the EU/West.

The tricky part for the West/EU is trying to get one move ahead of Russia, they do this and Russia will struggle to counter and the balance of power will shift. - But i cant see that happening. not in Russia's backyard and all the complexity that goes with the History.

Bottom line is EU/NATO dont hint and Ukrainian membership and non of this happens. - Dont forget why the EU/West acted so fast as well, they in their self interest wanted Ukraine in the European Union and not Russia's Eurasian Union.

see the crisis for what it really is.

Very little consequences for such a fine piece of real estate. Perhaps the USA should look at what nearby nations/islands have populations that include US citizens? Apparently if you have citizens there, you can just annex parts of other nations.

I vote we take Canada.

They don't deserve all those Muskies anyway.

Plus, unlike the Muskies, they won't put up much of a fight.

Come to Canada... Wait for winter and a combined arms assault with mounted moose cavalry will be charging you a cross the tundra!

You guys can have Toronto if you want, hell... we'll even throw in the other half of Niagra Falls (the 'best' half).
