Recommended Posts

UM-Bot

Thermal Spring? You could throw in a couple of offenders and make soup, and then put a photo display by the trail leading in, that should stop it! But seriously, this kind of thing ruins both nature and man made attractions world wide. I remember going to Stonehenge and walking among the stones, but thanks to vandalism they are pretty much off limits for the most part and all you can do now is walk around them. A few knuckleheads ruin things for everyone.

Oh come on... some goons thought if Chitown turns the Chicago river green to honor St. Pat why not a Geyser... now hang 'em.

It's just pure green/ blue algae. Poisonous to some species. End of story.

I kind of like the rings of colors. That happens naturally in other areas of the park. It's bad to throw stuff in, but it is not the algae's fault. It lives there regardless, just in smaller amounts around the edges when the water is hotter.

I wonder if they could hire a diver to remove the debris?

Some people should just stay on concrete forever, enjoy in dirty city and your dirty apartments but leave nature please, it will be fine without you. If you cant respect it just dont come. Especially when it is one of most important national sites. But as time goes on scenes like this are becoming 'normal' around the world, unfortunately.

It probably be done at a huge cost. You'd still have the algae to contend with. Nothing a little HTH can't take care of.

Seriously, this is horrible. People are stupid. I have a saying I use on subjects like this - I hate people. I like persons, but hate people.

It's too hot to dive at all. Anything above about 110F is extremely dangerous unless you're planning dinner. :P

Some of the waters of Yellowstone are near boiling, hence my previous tongue-in-cheek comment about "making soup" out of the offenders. The only "diving" could possibly be done by robotic vehicles, if they could handle the high temperature.

There's a sign there that says what they do...

Every year park personnel remove hundreds of rocks, coins and other objects from Morning Glory Pool.

Looks like they suck stuff out with "sunken ship treasure vacuum" style hoses.

People are morons and many don't care about the environment. Bet if you went to their house and threw crap at them they would then care.
