Mirzam Posted March 13, 2021 #2552 Share Posted March 13, 2021 I can't ever afford gaming consoles or the free time to play games, but I replayed Legend of Zelda and the phantom hourglass in 2018 or 2019 before I sold my old ds. Since then i've played things with less of a story and found them be to more stress relieving. I like microsoft solitaire (any of the versions like spider or klondike), sudoku (privacy app that you can play offline. It has smaller and larger boards and you can use letters and numbers on some of them), and word puzzle books. I like the cryptograms and word searches. I played lumosity or luminosity (whatever it is called) unpaid for a while before I deleted it. I also did duolingo. But i like the privacy stuff. I kept getting duolingo ads. Ugh lol. Sometimes I will just play with a deck of cards too. I quite like the room escape games. I have found some websites and game sites that design them but there are also apps. I found a pc cd at a yard sale but dont currently have anything with a cd slot.

Just finished AC Valhalla. Lost interest in CP 2077, not that great for all the hype. Edited March 13, 2021 by Hyperionxvii

I know there are online game sites, and there are ones with cd sets and other merchandise. When I was growing up I used to play tons of Nancy Drew and read the books that were available at the lib but there wasn't any Live part of it. I had other boxed sets too that had an account tied to their website yet none of it was social. I'm guessing you're talking more along the lines of WoW? I never tried it and I don't know much about those types of pc games.

I mostly play single player RPG games and survival games. I haven't played anything on disk for about 15 years, just download them. Some of the bigger games today would take many, many CDs, as many as 50 -100 to fit on.

I did not know there was a free version. It might be worth a shot to see how it is designed but I don't enjoy much of the battle/shooting games unless they have way less of that and more of a plot line. I have played simulation like Sims (the older and more recent versions) but not since 2019. I preferred the house design part of the game (build mode) and felt obligated to enter story mode after character design. Survival sounds interesting if you have any to recommend that would be more like the escape games and less like Sims. Is role play gaming like Magic the gathering? I have never done RPG. I have a deck but never played online, just once in person. Edited March 13, 2021 by smanthaonvaca
Hyperionxvii Posted March 13, 2021 #2557 Share Posted March 13, 2021 WOW does have a storyline to it. It's not really so much a shooter as it is an RPG. An action RPG, so there are weapons and battles. You can play it free for a while, I can't remember how long, I think it's based on levels, when you get to a certain level, then they'll make you get a subscription and it's quite expensive. Not for me, I can buy a game and play it for many many hours without paying more. Check out the Steam site, they have every type of game imaginable. Magic the Gathering is a card game and RPG combined, so you might like it. I have some friends who really like it.

Has pretty big free to play and if you ever get the membership it's just a flat $11 a month cost. It has Old school runescape and runescape 3. Can be played on your phone or steam even. No way, I did not know it was still running!! I used to play when I was in elementary. I don't really like the medieval type things, but along the same concept of that game with a different theme would be a good fit. I'll look around on Steam... I think it was EA games that owned the company that released Sims and only a handful of the games seemed appealing so going to another source may be better. I think I may have spent most of my time on Runescape exploring before levelling up. I don't remember if I continued to play past lvl.14 in 5th grade or not... My inventory was always packed too because I would unnecessarily pick everything up.

It's a survival game, but a very laid back one with very little in the way of battle. There's a bear which you can easily avoid. It's an early access game, so it's not finished. But it's very laid back and the game is really pretty in a sort of artsy style way. It's not on Steam yet, though, I bought it on Epic Games store. Alot of entertaining Youtube videos though. If you have a smartphone it's on that. Idk if the steam rollout happened yet, but they are planning to this year. I was thinking you were talking about that app "Among Us" for a second and I am glad that it is less mainstream than that haha. The app store games are mostly not my style. The early access game reminds me of the art on my profile, which I found off of the internet while looking at art in that style of illustration/graphics. I bet I could get pretty in to it. $20 isn't a bad price. I'll consider that one on a list of a few. If I purchase it, I'll have to come back here and give a review after playing.

I see that it's on the app store, and I was thinking it would be web browser based.
Mirzam Posted March 13, 2021 #2566 Share Posted March 13, 2021 In terms of graphics... Maybe similar to Hidden Object and Farm simulation games. I'd played Merge Dragons on my phone for a while before it became popular but i think it dropped off the top apps. I know they have a simplified mobile version of Sims too... So I guess I could see Runescape fitting in there in terms of graphics and data. I bet a lot of people play games like Minecraft on their tablets. ExpandMyMind Posted March 16, 2021 #2567 Share Posted March 16, 2021 After selling my PS4 Pro around a year ago to fund my new business then holding off to buy a PS5, I'm finally giving in tonight and buying another PS4 Pro. How can it be nearly 6 months after a console launch and people still can't get one. Absolute disgrace. You can't even buy a PS4 Pro new anywhere.
