seaturtlehorsesnake Posted April 21, 2015 #7 Share Posted April 21, 2015 Interesting that they call an area apparently containing absolutely nothing the largest ever identified. the thing is, it doesn't contain nothing, it's just emptier and colder than it should be. The supervoid sits in a region of space which is much colder than other parts of the universe, and although it is not a vacuum or a totally empty space, it seems to have around 20 per cent less matter than other regions. "hole" is a bit of a misleading word.
